After five years of waiting, Mudra has finally received payment for his work on singer Karole Kasita’s hit song “Yaka.” Mudra, who wrote the song, had been demanding the money owed to him for months.
In a recent interview on Galaxy FM, he clarified that the issue has been resolved and there is no longer any animosity between him and the singer.
Mudra shared, “After this last interview, she called me… and gave me the money… so we’re fine.”
The payment also came with an apology from Karole Kasita. Mudra, known for writing successful music for various artists, transitioned to a singing career as well.
“Yaka” was released in 2018 and gained significant popularity. Its success led Kasita to collaborate with Mudra again, resulting in the song “Mwoto,” featuring Cindy Sanyu, which also achieved great acclaim.
