51 students graduated at the Swangz Creative Academy on Friday. This was after months of undergoing immense training at the label premises in industrial area.

Among the graduates were eleven girls and forty boys who excelled in different courses. 20 students graduated in audio production, 26 in video production while five graduated in Graphic design.

Julius Kyazze, the CEO and Head of Business at Swangz Avenue reminded the graduates that creativity and innovation is key in whatever they are doing. He told them that the piece of art they produce is consumed by depressed people who also go to bars and relieve stress and that society can’t progress without creativity and innovation and never allow society to demean their importance.

Anell Tunes, the mentor in the dance class encouraged the graduates not to be chasers but attractors.

“I have learned from experience what you chase, you don’t get. Instead attract and in order to attract, you must understand the value market because it pays you for the value you bring and how you bring value is by adding value to yourself by practicing the skills that you have learnt. For there’s no shortcut,” he said.

Anell further told them to read more outside their scope of expertise because they will be dealing with people and relate with people.

For Josh, the video trainer, the academy addresses the major gap in the industry which is knowledge. He said that sometimes talent is not everything.

“You network, learn and get a blueprint on how to do and when to do things. We learn audio by practicing it,” he noted.
