The Kampala City Festival, 2025 (KCF 2025) is the highly anticipated eighth edition of this annual celebration, which had steadily become a cornerstone event for the city’s landscape and social calendar. This year, the festival will be even more inclusive and celebrating the rich diversity of Kampala in new and exciting ways. The 2025 edition is proposed to take place on 5th October, 2025 ahead of the 63rd Uganda Independence day anniversary, and aims to highlight the importance of creative expression, sustainability, and culture as the city looks toward its future.
Key Activities on Festival Day (October 5th)
- Procession: A three-hour procession through city streets to launch the main event at Kololo ceremonial grounds.
- Cultural Showcases: Performances, and displays celebrating the diversity and cultural identity of Kampala.
