When the Uganda Cubs faced Canada last week, it marked the first appearance by any Ugandan football team at a World Cup.
That game produced a piece of history when James Bogere scored Uganda’s first-ever World Cup goal, although the Cubs eventually fell 2–1.
In their second match, the Cubs continued to make strides, earning Uganda’s first World Cup point with a hard-fought 1–1 draw against Chile.
